Timothy J. Whitman, 64, a resident of Hoosick Falls, NY died Sunday October 23, 2022 at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY with his wife Karen by his side. He was born in Bennington, Vermont August 6, 1958 and raised in Latham. He was the son of the late R. Gerald and Ruth (Vosburgh) Whitman. Tim received his early education at St. Ambrose School in Latham, Keveny Memorial Academy in Cohoes, NY and graduated from Shaker High School in 1976 and later attended Hudson Valley Community College. As a licensed CDL driver he drove tractor trailer for a number of local distribution companies and later became a CDL driving instructor. In 2012 Tim and Karen started Whitman’s Driver Training LLC and KT Transportation in Hoosick Falls, NY. He loved teaching students of all ages and disabilities. Tim loved classic cars, the ocean, Lake George, camping and camp fires. He loved traveling in his class A RV with his wife and their two black labs, Lily and Shadow. Survivors include his wife, Karen Whitman of Hoosick Falls, NY. His brothers, Gary Whitman of West Chazey, NY and Rory Whitman (Karen) of Fort Ann, NY. A sister, Cheryl Whitman (Lynn) of Colchester, CT. Two step sons, Michael Weeden (Kelly) of Cambridge, NY and Cory Weeden of Hoosick Falls, NY. A sister- in law, Karen Whitman of North Petersburgh, NY along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, grand nieces and grand nephews. He was pre-deceased by his older brother Ronald Whitman and his beloved son, Christopher J. Whitman. Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington on Thursday October 27, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be held from the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Friday October 28, with a prayer at 10:15 a.m. and then from Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. where the Liturgy of Christian of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. The burial will take place in the family lot at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Hoosick Falls, NY. Contributions in memory of Timothy J.
