Mark D. Trombley, 55, a resident of Abbott Street, Hoosick Falls, died suddenly at home on Sunday, May 1, 2016 following a heart attack.
Born in Bennington on January 26, 1961, he was the son of the late Arthur Trombley and the former Judy (Teer) Trombley who survives. Mark received his education in the Bennington and Phoenix, AZ schools.
He then attended college prior to accepting a position in the Engineering Department at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center where he worked for the next 35 years until the time of his death.
Mark married Nannette Stone at the Baptist Church in Hoosick Falls on July 22, 2000.
He was an avid collector and builder of model cars. He was also a fan of the movies and his two favorite movies were "The Walking Dead" and "Fear of the Walking Dead".
Mark is survived by his wife, Nanette Trombley of Hoosick Falls, a daughter, Carrie Gardner of Bennington; two step-children, Lanae Sprague of White Creek, NY and Walter Clark III of Glens Falls, NY; three grandchildren, Lucas, Alexis and Kera; his mother, Judy Trombley of Bennington; a brother, Edward Trombley of Bennington and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services celebrating the life of Mark D. Trombley will be held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street in Bennington on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Justin Lanier, rector of St. Peter's Episcopal Church officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 12:00 noon until the start of the service.
