HOOSICK FALLS, NY- Margaret Rose Mould, aka "Peggy", 71, passed away November 6, 2021 at her home in Hoosick surrounded by her family, while listening to her favorite artist, Elvis. Beloved wife of Peter Freeman for 50 years. Loving mother of Shannon Freeman, Scott Freeman, and Tonya Freeman (Joe Wornoff). Cherished grandmother, best known as "Nanny" of Dana and Connie Ely, Brooke Niles, Gabby and Eric Freeman, Bianca and Brandon Slade and Jacob and Drew Wornoff as well as many great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Arthur and Charles Mould and late Walter Mould. Best friend of her sister-in-law, Caroline Freeman.
Born in Bennington, VT on April 12, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Grace Mould. Margaret received her education at Mount Anthony Union High school in Bennington, VT. In earlier years, Peggy was employed at Vermont Linens. Later in life, Peggy worked for Independent Living as a home health aide, where she took care of her dear mother-in-law Helen and sister-in-law Caroline (Babe).
Peggy enjoyed the simple things in life. She was a home body, and enjoyed spending time there with her husband Peter watching home remodeling shows, cooking meals and going next door to visit her sister-in-law Caroline (Babe). Peggy loved sleeping in, even on Christmas morning when her children insisted on waking her up at 4AM every year. Peggy enjoyed rooting on Cleveland Sports teams and due to her fear of heights, with the help of a nice usher, she even scored free floor seats to a Cavs game to see LeBron when visiting Tonya. Peggy was lovingly known as "Nanny" to her many grandchildren and adored spending time with them, whether it was visits at her home or virtual dinners and play dates on the computer. Peggy's favorite place was the ocean in Maine. Peggy and Peter spent their honeymoon in Maine, and she was able to return again with her daughters Shannon and Tonya, as well as her grandson Jacob, for a memorable family trip this past summer. Her gratitude for life and her family was apparent each day, and she was most thankful to be cared for by her family, which allowed her to stay in her home during her final days.
Peggy was a private person, but those who were close to her know she was funny, caring, silly, feisty and loving. Peggy will be dearly missed by her family.
