Joyce Mary Lewis, 79 of Arlington, VT, passed away on March 14, 2023 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington. Joyce was born in Bennington on September 10, 1943, the daughter of Henry Albert and Mary Jane (Haskell) Pinsonneault. She was educated in Bennington schools and was a graduate of Bennington Catholic High School. Joyce married Alfred Lewis on February 17, 1962 at St. Francis de Sales Church in Bennington. Mr. Lewis passed away on December 9, 1983. Besides being a homemaker, Joyce was a secretary for the Department of Social Welfare for 20 years. Family meant everything to Joyce and spending time with them gave her the greatest joys in her life. Joyce also loved everything Disney, the characters, the movies, she loved it all. She was also an incredible artist and would put her artistic skills to good use when she would do drawings of “Tinkerbell’ and Jiminy Cricket as a way to quiet down her kids. Joyce was also an avid reader and absolutely loved to go shopping. Joyce is survived by her children and their spouses; Patricia Ann Lewis (Steve Psaradelis) of Londonderry, VT, Theresa Marie (Kyle Sr.) Kennard of Mesa, AZ, Joyce Mary (Sean) Trombley of Arlington, VT and Alfred Henry (Michelle) Lewis Jr. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Kyle (Elicia) Kennard, Jr., Jesse “Morris” Lewis, Zachary Kennard, Alyssa Lewis, Samantha Lewis and Olivia Lewis, her brothers and sisters-in-law; Henry (Jean) Pinsonneault of Bennington, VT and Thomas (Sharon) Pinsonneault of Orwell, VT and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a sister, Ann Marie Foster and a grandson, Justin Michael Kennard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart/St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington.
