Jeanette (Dutcher-Bushee) Condon, 94, a resident of Nassau, NY, died peacefully Thursday, September 30, 2021 at her home surrounded by loving family.
Born in Bennington on June 5, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Carrie (Peake) Dutcher. She received her education in the Bennington schools and in early years worked as a waitress at the Weeks Brothers Restaurant on North Street. After moving to the Nassau area she waitressed at many area restaurants before retiring from Harmony Mills.
Jeannette had a love for reading, chocolate, dominos, poker and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include seven children, Edward (Sherry) Bushee of Manassas, VA, Roger Bushee of Newport News, VA, Karen Turner of Haverhill, MA, Sandra (Tom) MacCormack of Columbiaville, NY, Patricia (Ralph) Hoag of Philmont, NY, Christopher (Debi) Condon of Clifton Park, NY and Frank (Sherri) Condon Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA; fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Eddy of Nassau and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jeanette was predeceased by her husband Frank W. Condon, a son, D. Paul Bushee, a grandson, Frank Condon III, a son-in-law, David B. Turner and four sisters, Lillian Center, Clara Betit, Neva (Betty) LaCroix and Ida Myers.
A funeral will be held at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will take place in the family plot in Center Shaftsbury, VT.
