ARLINGTON- JaiMae Martha Muir, 41, a resident of Arlington, Vermont, passed away peacefully on March 30,2022 at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York, following a brief Illness.
Born on November 26th,1980, in Bennington, Vermont. She was the daughter of Richard and Laura (Trebing) Muir. She graduated from Mount Anthony Union High School in 1999.
In 2002 JaiMae met her fiance Nick Peters; together they have two cats; Big Boy and Smokey. As well as a dog; Benny.
JaiMae was a dedicated and prominent figure at the various restaurants she worked at. She enjoyed being a server and was loved by her coworkers and patrons. JaiMae was most recently employed at the Raven's Den Steakhouse and Taproom in Manchester, Vermont.
JaiMae loved helping people, as she loved everyone. She was thoughtful, compassionate, and generous. JaiMae also enjoyed being creative and crafting. She particularly enjoyed making jewelry for people and doing large collages.
JaiMae had a great sense of humor and a beautiful spirit that will be missed by all.
Survivors include her parents, Richard and Laura Muir. Her fiance, Nick Peters. A sister, Christin Briggs and brother in-law Bruce Briggs. Two brothers, Richard Muir III and Jarred Muir. A Niece, Estella. As well as, Roberto Diaz, a special friend who was like a brother to her. JaiMae is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, great friends and loved ones.
Jaimae is predeceased by her grandparents; Joan Warner, Richard Muir, Martha Trebing, and Herbert Trebing. Also predeceased by her stepgrandfather Bob Warner & stepgrandmother Mary Muir.
JaiMae has certainly gone too soon, however, she leaves more than a legacy of memories. She was able to give the gift of life to 5 people that were awaiting a vital organ transplant.
Visitation for JaiMae will be from 11:30am til 12:30pm with a service beginning at 12:30 pm on Saturday, April 9th at Harvest Christian Ministries in Bennington. Immediately following the service, there will be a celebration of life and reception at the Moose Lodge on Main Street in Bennington.
