Esther Judith Ackerhalt "Judy" September 23, 1943 - October 10, 2022 The dash between Judy's dates span an incredible life. Born in Clifton, New Jersey Judy graduated from Clifton High School. She received a B.S. from Rutgers University, an M.S. from Adelphi and her Ph.D. from Columbia. She was an Associate Professor at Adelphi University. She was also a psychoanalyst with a private practice in Huntington, N.Y. Judy had a great appreciation for beauty in all forms especially in art, sculpture and pottery. While at Adelphi University she initiated an art show of Icelandic potters. Iceland being one of her favorite travel destinations. Judy had a great passion for food, cooking and entertaining, welcoming and comforting all who entered her home on Kelley Stand Road in E. Arlington, Vermont. Judy shared her life over the years with her beloved dogs, Mini, Prince, Molly, Neilly, Rosey and Lulu. Judy's radiant smile and generous heart touched all. We know that forever in spirit she is with us and we with her. There will be a graveside service at 11:00 on Friday October 14th and a memorial service at 12:00 pm on Sunday the 23rd at Judy's home.
