Dorothy Joyce “Muggy” Campbell, 88, a resident of Bennington, Vermont passed away peacefully on December 23rd, 2022, at the Vermont Veterans Home following a long illness. Born on March 4th, 1934, in North Pownal, VT, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Millett) and Joseph Thompson. Muggy was raised in North Pownal and later graduated from Hoosick Falls High School in Hoosick Falls, New York. Shortly after graduation, Muggy enlisted in the United States Air Force and served for nearly a year and a half, during the Korean War era. Also shortly after her graduation, Muggy married her late first husband Reginald Hervieux. They were together for nearly ten years, and had three children together before separating in the early 1960s. A few years after separating, Muggy met her late husband Thomas Campbell Sr. Together they spent over 40 years together and had two daughters. Muggy didn’t have hobbies or passions in the traditional sense. She enjoyed cooking and chatting with family or friends. However, her true hobbies and passions were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Jeannie, Joseph, Joann, and Jill. A stepson, Thomas Campbell Jr. A sister; Judy. As well as numerous, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Muggy is predeceased by her son Reginald Jr. and her siblings; Joan, Jan, and John.
