Deanna Louise Aldrich, 71, a resident of Webb St. in Bennington, Vermont died Saturday January 29, 2022 at Saint Peters Hospital in Albany, NY following a long illness.
She was born in Florence, South Carolina October 18, 1950. She was the daughter of the late Herbert C. Wilder and Marie D. (Ridner) Wilder. Deanna's father served in the military. Her family moved quite often. She received her education in Japan, California and Florida and her nursing degree in New York.
She married James A. Aldrich on August 26. 1971. Mr. Aldrich died November 10, 2010.
Deanna worked at the Brook Army Medical Center and Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. She also worked for Dr. Beard in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
She was a member of the Little Portion Hermitage and Monastery. Deanna enjoyed crafts, making stained glass plates and she had a voracious appetite for books.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel Aldrich (Pamela Sue Dixon) of Harrison, Arkansas and Joshua J. Aldrich (Andrea Rae) of Bennington, VT. Four grandchildren, Corey, Alyssa, Riley and Candis. Two sisters, Dawna Wilder of Orange Park, Florida and Mary Kirk of Fayette City, PA. Along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Friday, February 4, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
The funeral will be held from the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Friday February 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
The burial with military honors will take place in the family lot at the George B. Soloman, Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY. On Friday at 2:00 p.m.
