FITCH, Connie Lynn (nee Stockwell) 1966-2020
On Sunday, May 10th, in the early hours of the morning, at age 53, Connie Fitch passed away in the presence of her loved ones as a result of her six-year long battle with early-onset Alzheimer's disease. Connie was a life-time resident of Putney, Vermont, and is survived by father Fred Stockwell, of Putney, Vermont and partner Julie Bronson, daughter Kaileigh Fitch, her partner Tim Hutton, and Connie's grandchild-to-be of Putney, Vermont, daughter Nenah Fitch and partner Zachary Smith, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and son Alexander Fitch and partner Mikayla Ching, of Putney Vermont, as well as her children's father, Stephen Fitch of Alstead, New Hampshire. Connie will also be remembered by her sister and brother-in-law Leanne and Matthew Hettinger of Langdon, New Hampshire, her nephew and niece Christopher and Christina Wasserlein and their children Michael and Andrew, as well as her brothers Michael and Fred Stockwell of Putney, Vermont, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends. Connie is predeceased by her mother Janice Stockwell of Putney, Vermont.
A graduate of Brattleboro Union High School in 1984, Connie spent her life as a full-time business-owner and in-home childcare provider. She dedicated her life to caring for children, neighbors, and her own family. Connie's life can be marked as one abundant in generosity, kindness, and service to the childcare community. In her free time, Connie was an avid scrapbooker, photographer, nature-lover, and hiker, but nothing matched the love she had for children. Connie's career as a daycare and preschool provider allowed her to touch the lives of many throughout the years, an impact that will be felt for generations to come.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be mailed to Winston Prouty in Connie's name, as a tribute to her everlasting passion and dedication to the childcare community.
