Barbara Mae Watson

Barbara Watson, 95, passed away at her home on November 9, 2022, in the loving care of her family. She was born in 1927 in New York State. Barbara grew up in Lansingburg/Troy area with her parents John and Mae Laws. Her sisters Patricia and Joan and her brother Jackie (John). She married James Watson of Bennington, Vermont; a career soldier in the Air Force. Together they had seven children Michael, Pamela (predeceased), Keith, Craig, Lorrie Carra, Scott (predeceased),and James. Her children had a wonderful mother to love and to be loved by. She was a very good mom, giving all her children unconditional love and acceptance; always ready to listen and help or laugh and celebrate. She leaves behind her beloved sister Joan Laws and a legacy of 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, many loving nieces nephews, and family members; as well as Marie and Joan Watson with whom she had a special bond with. Barbara had a wonderful sense of humor, was an avid reader, had a passion for politics, and staying active. She loved to walk, swim, and cycle. Those who knew her knew a kind, intelligent, and generous woman who was grateful and content with a life well lived. The family wishes to extend an invitation to join them for a celebration of Barbara’s life on November 19 at 3:30 PM till 6:00 PM at the old first church carriage barn in Bennington Vermont.
