Adrianna Payton Dewey, 16, a resident of Water St. in North Bennington, Vermont died Sunday December 5, 2021 at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, N.Y. following a long illness.
She was born in Albany, NY March 24, 2005. She was the daughter of Naomi Martin and Wesley Dewey. Adrianna received her education in Bennington where she attended Molly Stark School.
Predeceased family include: Uncles Pat Martin and David Brookman. Great Grand Parents David Brookman, Lucille Brookman, Henry Martin, and Marrion Martin. Survivors include her mother, Naomi Martin of North Bennington. Her grandparents, Bonnie and Norman Hurley and Charles Martin all of Bennington. Her aunts, Katie Hurley and Morgan Martin both of Bennington and her cousins, Adelene, Isabella and Madelyn Harrington all of Bennington.
From the day Adrianna was born she changed the lives of our family and every person that had the pleasure of knowing her. Since the beginning you've always had a bright shine in your eyes, a loving heart, a happy spirit, and a beautiful smile. Your journey has been tremendously hard, but you've never traveled it alone. Doctors, teachers, friends, family, and loved ones have been by your side every step of the way. Your strength and ability to never give up gave us 16 memorable years with you. You've blessed our lives and now it's time for you to be at peace where you can run, laugh, skip, play, and be free. You are now with all of the past loved ones who've looked over you since you were born. Be happy, be free, we love you, and you'll always hold a special place in our hearts. Until we meet again, sweet girl.
Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Friday December 10, 2021 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
The entombment will take place in Park Lawn Chapel in Bennington. The burial will take place in the family lot at the Woodford Cemetery in the Spring.
