Yvonne Jane Fichter

Yvonne Jane Fichter of Manchester Centre, Vermont passed away peacefully on November 8, 2021, in the Center for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington, VT. She was born to the late Jacob Alfred Fichter and Yvonne Blanche Guex Fichter in College Point, NY on December 29, 1928. She was predeceased by her older brother John Robert Fichter of Woodbury, NY and her younger brother Francis Guex Fichter of Carle Place, NY. She is survived by her youngest brother Richard Edward Fichter of Chantilly, VA and her nieces and nephews Claire, Betty, Terry, Richard, Jr., Marjorie, Peter, Janie, and Buddy.
Yvonne was joint owner with her two brothers in the family florist business in Carle Place, NY for over forty years. Fichter Florist was established in 1936 by her father. She was a floral designer, store manager, and treasurer of the business.
Yvonne loved traveling to Switzerland, the birthplace of her parents. She was an avid gardener, collector of baskets and home decorator. She was a lifelong New York Yankee fan.
Her funeral will be conducted by her nephew the Rev. Richard Fichter, Jr. at Zion Episcopal Church in Manchester Center, VT at 10 AM on November 17, 2021.
