William E Satterlee

Mr. William E. Satterlee, 96, a former resident of Maple Lane in Stillwater, NY died Sunday March 17, 2019 at the home of his son and daughter in law, Jan and Nancy Satterlee in Melrose, NY

He was born in Mechanicville, NY March 26, 1922. He was the son of the late George and Ethel (Sparks) Satterlee. Bill received his education in Mechanicville.

Mr. Satterlee married the former Beverly J. Legacy in Bennington, VT on September 16, 1950. Mrs. Satterlee died January 5, 1999.

For thirty years Mr. Satterlee was employed as a welder for the West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company in Mechanicville, NY from which he retired. He later worked part time at Cudney's Laundromat in Saratoga

Mr. Satterlee enjoyed fishing and painting.

Survivors include a son, Jan Satterlee and his wife Nancy of Melrose, NY, a daughter, Denise Bowen of Mechanicville, NY, three grandchildren; a sister Gail Warren of Johnsonville, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by a sister Lorraine Coons.

A graveside service will be held at the family lot at Hinsdiville Cemetery on Friday March 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.
