William James Russell

William Russell James Jr., 60, a resident of Applegate apartments in Bennington, Vermont passed away unexpectedly at his home on July 8th, 2023. Born on March 4th, 1963 in Bennington, Vermont. He was the son of the late William James Russell Sr. and Etta Catherine Perry. William received his education at Hoosick Falls Central School in Hoosick Falls, New York. Later, he would go on to learn his trade in carpentry. William was incredibly skilled in his trade, and loved to create things. Not only did he enjoy his work, but William was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He devoted his life to his family, and his partner of 23 years – Christina Hughes. William is survived by his partner; Christina Hughes. Together they shared a grandson/son; Colby Camara. A step-daughter; Kimberly Camara. A granddaughter; Ruth Reynolds. His sisters; Kathy Candib and Debi (Jeff) Miller. His Brothers; Scott (Heather Coulter) Russell and Kevin (Norma) Russell. As well as several nieces and nephews: Michael Bourn, Paul Bourn, John Russell, Travis Candib, Brandi Watson, Robert Mentiply, Jay Mentiply, Krista Russell, Ryan Russell, Zach Russell, Elizabeth Cross, Billie Russell, Bobbie Russell, Matthew Russell, Caryanne Russell, and Jessica Kaulfas. William is also survived by his beloved cat; Precious William is predeceased by his father William Russell James Sr., his mother Etta Catherine Perry, and his brother-in-law Timothy Candib. A celebration of William's life will be held at a later date, to be announced by the family.
