William R. "Billy" Lorette, 71, a resident of Scarey lane, North Bennington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.
Born in Bennington on July 27, 1948, he was the son of the late Kenneth Loyd Lorette and the former Ruth (Reed) Lorette. Billy received his education in the North Bennington schools and was a graduate of Mt. Anthony Union High School.
Billy married the former Sandra Sears in February, 2002.
In earlier years Billy was employed Globe Union and St. Gobain companies and later worked for several years prior to his retirement at the William E. Dailey company in Shaftsbury.
Bill was a Life Member and Past Commander of American Legion Post 13 and the Disabled American Veterans Post 4 in Bennington.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Lorette of North Bennington; a son and daughter-in-law, William Richard and Tammy Lorette of North Bennington; a granddaughter, Carol Ann Lorette of Virginia; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth R. "Digger" and Lorraine Lorette of Bennington. Billy was predeceased by a granddaughter, Haley Lorette and a niece and nephew, Kristine Lorette and Kenneth L. Lorette III.
At Billy's request there will be no services held.
