William M. Davis

William M. Davis, 60, husband of Suzanne Davis died Tuesday April 17, 2018 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. surrounded by his family.

He was born in Bennington, VT May 28, 1957. He was the son of the late William A. and Mary C. (Hurley) Davis. He received his education in Bennington and was a 1975 graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School.

He married the former Suzanne M. Paligo on July 27, 1986 at the home of Bills aunt, Alma Shattuck. Sue and Bill spent 41 loving years together sharing in the creation of happy memories and standing side by side through all of life's challenges.

Some of Bill's fondest memories were of his young childhood days on his grandparents farm and his time spent with his Uncle Gene and Aunt Alma. Later in life he enjoyed family camping trips to New Hampshire, hunting, riding motorcycles, bowling, and playing pool. One of his greatest memories was of his road trip across country, a trip that served as his and Sue's honeymoon.

Survivors include his wife, Suzanne M. Davis of Bennington. Two daughters, Nikki Lother (Wally) of Adams, MA and Holly Jean Davis (Joshua Wood) of Bennington. Three grandchildren, Emma Elizabeth Lother of Adams, MA, and Noah and Kira Wood of Bennington. Three sisters, Mary Chapman (Patrick) Tammy Loomis (Lee) of Shaftsbury, VT and Terri Davis of Bennington. His uncles, Joseph and Raymond Hurley and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by two uncles, David and Ike Hurley, an aunt Alma Shattuck (Gene) and his grandparents Fred and Eva Hurley.

The funeral will be held from the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Monday April 23, at 11:30 a.m and then from Sacred Heart Saint Francis de Sales Church at Noon where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered, followed by a joining together at the Church Parish Center where the family will be available to reflect on the memories of Bill's life.

A private burial will take place in the family lot at Park Lawn Cemetery at a later date.

Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral on Sunday April 22, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
