Wanita E. Baker (Taylor)

March 31, 1948 — December 29, 2016

Wanita E. Baker, age 68, a resident of North Branch St. in Bennington, died on December 29, 2016 following a long illness.
She was born in Cambridge, VT on March 31, 1948 and was the daughter of the late James M. and Florence (LaPlante) Taylor. She received her education in local schools.
Wanita is retired from the Bennington School, where she had been employed as a night counselor.
She is survived by two sons: Larry and Tennille Baker of Pownal, VT and Stephen Levine and Patsy Derosia of Bennington. She leaves six grandchildren: J.R. Baker, Shaunna Baker, Monica Baker, Derrick Pogue, Justin Pogue and Bailey Harwood, and five great grandchildren.
She has three brothers; Sonny Taylor, Walt Taylor, Wendell Taylor, and one sister, Irene Carlson.
A Celebration of her Life will be held in the spring. There are no calling hours scheduled.
