Walter T. Bitler, 67, past Vermont State Deputy of the Knights of Columbus, passed away surrounded by family after battling a long illness.
Walter was always very active in his community, as well as his church. He held the highest office with the Knights of Columbus as Vermont State Deputy (A.K.A Deputy Dog by his family).
Walter has always been known to be a very kind, loving, caring, gentle, diplomatic, fair, and compassionate man. His family and his church was his life.
Married for 43 years to his loving wife Barbara, they had five (amazing) children- Kevin, Karen, Julie, Terri and Danny (in that order)- as well as eight grandchildren. Walter is also survived by his older brother Carl and his younger brother Richard, and several nieces and nephews who were treated as his own.
Walter's determination in life helped him and his family to beat the odds; more than any family should endure.
So, in memory of Walter "Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love."
He will truly be missed.
