Virginia “Ginny” Dufresne, 84, a lifelong resident of Bennington, Vermont, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2023, following a long illness. Born on July 27, 1938, in Bennington, Vermont, Ginny was the daughter of the late Lee and Inis (Frost) Bentley. She was born and raised in Bennington and graduated from Bennington High School. Ginny, held various jobs in Bennington after completing high school. However, once her son Lee was born, she began her career as a Homemaker. On July 25th, 1967, Ginny married the love of her life; Donald A. Dufresne, in North Bennington, Vermont. Being a homemaker allowed her plenty of time to grow her collections of roosters, teddy bears, and glass bottles. She enjoyed scouring flea markets, tag sales, and glass shows for her newest addition to her collections. Ginny was also an animal lover of all kinds including her beloved cats and dogs. Ginny also enjoyed country music. Survivors of Ginny include; her Husband of over fifty-five years, Donald Dufresne. Her son; Lee Dufresne and Lee’s partner Gianta Phillips. As well as, Ginny’s grandchildren; Brandon, Paige, Amber, and Danielle. Ginny is also survived by her partner in crime; Patricia King (Bentley) and Patti’s children Cindi, Rick, and Eddie. Patti was Ginny’s Niece but due to their closeness in age were more like sisters. Over the years they shared many fun nights and loved a good time. Ginny was predeceased by a brother Leo Bentley, Leo’s wife: Beryl Curtis, who was like a mother to Ginny and Beryl’s 2nd Husband Richard. A sister Mable Knapp, and Mable’s Husband Kenneth. As well as, an uncle; Joe Hill. A Graveside service for Ginny will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 10am at Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington.
