Veronica A. "Ronnie" Schneski, 71, a resident of Putnam Street, Bennington, died Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Albany Medical Center as a result of injuries sustained in a fall.
Born in Brooklyn, NY on December 17, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Albert Peglow and the former Veronica (Fleck) Peglow who survives. Ronnie received her early education in the Brooklyn schools and later at St. Mary's Academy in Hoosick Falls where she graduated in 1967.
Ronnie married Andrew John Schneski at Sacred Heart Church in Berlin, NY in 1969. John died September 19, 2016.
She was employed for nearly 30 years as a retail clerk at the J.C. Penny store in Bennington.
When her children were young Ronnie served in the PTG at Catamount School, as a Counselor at Girl Scout Camp and as a Religious Education Teacher at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church. She loved animals, nature, walking, clothes shopping and especially time spent with her family and friends.
Survivors include three children, Teddy (Ana) Schneski of Lynn Haven, FL, Mark (Katie Bayler and their son Eli) Schneski of South Londonderry and Stephanie Schneski of Pownal; her mother, Veronica Peglow of Bennington and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ronnie was predeceased by a brother, Albert Peglow.
Funeral services will be held at a future date to be announced.
