Tracie Sue Benjamin, born on April 17, 1964, in Cambridge, NY, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Donald “Donny” Benjamin and a cherished sister to Wilma Priest and Timothy Wilson (Joanne). Tracie was also a devoted aunt to her nieces and nephews: Mike Priest, Robert Done, Justin Wilson (Wendy), Zack Wilson, and Sarah Parker (John). She found great joy in her role as a great-aunt to Jessica Becker, Emma Wilson, Liam Parker, and Lucas Parker. She was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Faye (Hall) Wilson, and her great-nephew Jonathan Jay Parker.
Tracie grew up in Cambridge, NY, where she attended school before settling in Bennington, VT, for over 30 years. She dedicated many years to the Bennington Housing Authority before transitioning to Seall Inc., where she worked as a night awake staff member for the past decade. Tracie’s compassionate nature led her to pursue classes at Northeastern Bible College for Counseling, reflecting her deep commitment to helping others.
Known for her creativity and warmth, Tracie loved crafting with children and sharing her talents with those around her. She enjoyed shopping road trips with Donny and Wilma and was an adventurous cook who delighted in trying new recipes. Her love for people and her gift for counsel left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
A celebration of Tracie’s life will be held on January 4, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Harvest Christian Ministries, located at 945 Main St., Bennington, VT 05201.
Tracie’s memory will be treasured by all who knew her. May her legacy of kindness and love bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
