Timothy Robert Candib

June 30, 1959 — February 23, 2019

Timothy Robert Candib, 59, a resident of Murphy Road in North Bennington, VT died Saturday February 23, 2019 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington surrounded by his family.

He was born in Bennington, Vermont June 30, 1959. He was the son of Leonard Candib and the late Josephine (Hurley) Candib. Tim received his education in Bennington and was a graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School class of 1978. Following high school Tim joined the United States Army.

He married the former Kathy Russell on June 25, 1988 at Saint Peter's Episcopal Church in Bennington, VT.

Tim was employed at the Mount Anthony Union High School as a custodian.

An avid outdoorsman. Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing and four wheeling. His family and grandchildren were his main interest

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Candib of North Bennington. His children, Michael Bourn (Jean), Paul Bourn (Tasha), John Russell (Tina), Travis Candib (Shelby) and Brandi Watson (Bryan) all of Bennington; Twelve grandchildren. His father Leonard Candib of Bennington. Two brothers, Brian Candib (Tami) of Burlington, VT, and Chris Candib (Kim) of Barre, VT; three sisters, Cherie Candib (Mike) of Shaftsbury, Mary-Barbara Forman (Keith) of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Wendy Sicard (Brian) of Colchester, VT. Along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Thursday February 28, 2019 from 11:00 am until 1:00 p.m.

The funeral will be held at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Thursday February 28 at 1:00 p.m.

The burial will follow in the family lot at Park Lawn Cemetery.

Following the service, a reception will be held at the Willow Road Firehouse.
