Thomas J. Toomey

May 23, 1943 — November 19, 2018

Thomas J. Toomey, 75, a former resident of Main Street in Bennington, VT died Monday November 19, 2018 at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington following a brief illness.

He was born in Germany May 23, 1943. He was the son of the late Bernard and Madeline (Clancy) Toomey. He received his early education in Hudson Falls, NY and graduated from Burr & Burton Seminary in Manchester, VT with the Class of 1963.

In earlier years Mr. Toomey was employed at his father's car dealership in Manchester, VT.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Saint Francis de Sales Church.

Survivors include two brothers, Andrew Toomey of Bennington, VT and William Toomey of Houston, Texas. Along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial mass will be held in the spring.

The burial will follow in the family lot at Park Lawn Cemetery

Arrangements are under the direction of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington.
