THOMAS MORRISSEY OBITUARY
MANCHESTER CENTER, VT

Thomas M. Morrissey, age 78 a resident of The Meadows in Manchester Center died on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington.
He was born in Bayshore, NY on December 19, 1938 and was the son of the late James and Eileen (Hunt) Morrissey. He received his education in Babylon and is graduate of Babylon High School. He served in the Navy during the Cold War, following Viet Nam.
He married the former Sharon Towery who has predeceased him.
During the 1960's his parents purchased The Stackwood Lodge in Peru, VT and Thomas moved to Vermont to help with the Lodge. He also worked as a painter and contractor in the
area. He volunteered to deliver meals over the holidays to those less fortunate.

Thomas is survived by one brother and sister-in-law; William and Glavis Morrissey of Holtsville, NY three cousins: Eileen Thomas of Bayshore, NY Patrick Hunt, of New Jersey, Kathleen Hunt of New York. He also leaves five nephews and five nieces, as well as his sister-in-law, Marilynn Morrissey of Dorest, VT

A Memorial mass will be held later on at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Babylon, NY. Interment will follow in Mount St. Mary Cemetery in Flushing, NY
