BENNINGTON- Thomas "Tommy" Noel Gauthier, 81, a loving brother, uncle, cousin, friend and resident of Bennington, Vermont, passed away peacefully on January 3rd, 2022 following a brief illness.
Thomas was born on December 23, 1940 in Bennington. He was the son of the late Ernest and Margaret Theresa (Danforth) Gauthier. He worked on Strohmaier's Farm in Pownal. He spent over 50 years milking cows and doing the many daily tasks of dairy farming from sun up to sun down.
Tommy was a giving, caring, thoughtful, and friendly social butterfly who was just an amazing fun loving outgoing person. The king of signatures! He had so many passions and hobbies, there are too many to name them all. He loved art in every way. He liked to collect the signatures of everyone including doctors, high school athletes, people who came to the house, and people from Bennington Project Independence. He loved animals of all kinds. He has a passion and knowledge of music like no other. He especially loved the music of "The KIng" Elvis Presley. Blue Christmas by Elvis was Thomas and his mother's favorite song of all time!
There aren't enough words to describe Thomas. He was known for his infectious laugh, smile, charm, compassion, and spirit. He has so much love to give and was loved by so many and will be missed immensely.
Thomas is survived by his sisters Sandra Sinclair and Linda Knapp. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Thomas was preceded in death by his brothers Robert Gauthier, David Gauthier, and Lawrence Gauthier. As well as his sisters Nancy Hathaway and Diann Ball.
