Thomas Michael Datz

Thomas Michael Datz, 79, of Arlington, VT passed away peacefully at his home on March 16, 2023. Thomas was born in Oceanside, NY on March 22, 1943, the son of John Woodrow and Rita (Cleary) Datz. Thomas received his education in New York Schools and obtained a bachelor’s degree from Queens College in Queens, NY. Thomas married the former Jae Bong Chang on December 23, 1966. Thomas served in the US Army where he achieved the rank of Captain. He worked as a Systems Consultant and Project Manager for many years for Vista Concepts and Maplewood Business Systems. Thomas is survived by his wife of over 56 years, Jae Bong Datz, of Arlington, his daughter; Monica Datz of Arlington, his grandsons; Russell G. Plitt, IV and Jonathan Thomas Wilson Datz, both of Arlington, his sister; Patricia Datz-Harmon of Long Island, NY and several nieces nephews and cousins. Thomas was predeceased by his brothers, John Woodrow Datz and Gilbert Lawrence Datz. At Thomas’ request there will be no formal services.
