Therese Emma (Morin) Grady 88, of School Street in Bennington, VT, passed away at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington. Therese was born on March 20, 1934 in North Adams, MA the daughter Arthur J. and Emiliene (Lachappele) Morin. She was educated in North Adams Schools and was a graduate of Notre Dame du Sacre Coure in North Adams. While working as a production clerk at Sprague Electric in North Adams she met John Joseph Grady. The two were married on February 6, 1960 in North Adams. John passed away on October 21, 2013. Therese also worked as an Aide at the North Adams Hospital and then entered retail working as a layaway clerk with K-Mart and as an Assistant Manager with Sportique. Therese was also a manager at Talbots when she lived in South Carolina. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and shopping. Her greatest joy came with the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. Therese is survived by her daughters; Jean (Bruce) Henderson of Bennington, VT and Joanne (Rudy) Lomena of St. Johns, FL; her brother, Wayne Morin of Rutland, VT, brothers-in-law Thomas Grady of Washington and Michael (Ginny) Grady of Hollis, NH, her sister-in-law, Mary Smith of Manchester, NH, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters; Rita Sojkowski, Ann Thibert and Karlene Brothers, her brothers; Arthur Morin Jr., and Edward Morin and her brother-in-law, William Grady. Funeral services will be held on Friday November 18, 2022 at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home at 10:30 am with a brief prayer service followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart/St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Bennington, VT. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery North Adams, MA. Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Thursday November 17, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. If friends desire, contributions in Therese’s memory may be made to Sacred Heart/St. Francis de Sales Church, Bennington Rescue Squad or VNA through the office of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main Street Bennington, VT 05201.
