Terry A. Merrow, 73, a resident of Smith's Way in Bennington, VT died on Friday, May 14, 2020 unexpectedly from complications of diabetes.
He was born in Bennington, VT on November 22, 1946 and was the son of the late Pearl and Jean (Blundell) Merrow. He received his education in Bennington schools. He married the late Pamela J. Bortell, who predeceased him on January 3, 1990. For many years Terry had worked as a carpenter in the area.
He was an avid sportsman who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and he enjoyed football. Terry had been a MAYAA football coach in earlier years. Terry cooked his family home style meals every night right up until his passing
Survivors include his children; Terry Merrow of Connecticut, Cindy Campbell of Maine, Christine Nickerson of New Jersey, Joseph Merrow of Connecticut, Todd Merrow of Vermont and Penny Ledlie of Florida.
He is survived by several grandchildren including one of his favorites, Tyson Burgess.
Terry leaves two sisters; Sherry Mott of Arizona and Cindy Monahan of Florida, and one brother, Pearl R. Merrow of Connecticut as well as several nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 protocols, no public services will be held.
The Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington is assisting the family at this time.
