Taylor Aitchison Therriault 20,a resident of Arlington, Vermont, passed away unexpectedly at his home surrounded by his loving family on August 13, 2023. Taylor was born on March 12, 2003 in Bennington, Vermont. Taylor spent most of his life in Arlington, where he graduated from Arlington Memorial High School in 2021. He enjoyed all things sports, and was a very talented athlete. He played baseball, basketball, soccer and football throughout school, and excelled in each. When he wasn’t playing sports himself, he enjoyed watching his favorite football team, The Eagles, and his favorite baseball team, The Astros on TV with his father, Todd; who also coached Taylor throughout his many sports endeavors. Taylor shared the love of racing with his father and could always be found supporting his best friend, Scott Towslee, as part of his pit crew at any racetrack on the weekends. Taylor enjoyed music and could always be found singing and dancing with his sister, Bailey, to almost any song that came on. He shared his sense of humor with Bailey, and their favorite thing to do together was make everyone laugh. He was the “life of the party,” as some would say. Taylor shared a strong faith in God with his mother, Tori, and always found a way to live each day with grace and compassion. He enjoyed going to church, and was never afraid to share his faith with those around him. Taylor shared an unbreakable bond with his oldest sister, Brooke, one that could only be felt, not described. Taylor often spoke about how he looked up to his sister and wanted to be just like her throughout his life. Most recently, Taylor became an uncle to two nephews, Oakley and Tatum, and could always be found playing outside with them, or chasing them around the playroom to make them laugh. Taylor is survived by his mother, Tori (Wirasnik) Therriault, his father, Todd Therriault, his eldest sister, Brooke (Therriault) Rocher, and his sister, Bailey Therriault. Taylor is also lovingly remembered by a large family. Those include his maternal grandparents, Sandra (Mason) and Danny Wirasnik, his paternal grandmother, Norma (Dickie) Therriault, his aunt Tanya and uncle Christopher Therriault, and brother-in-laws Sebastian Rocher and Keegan O’Brien. Taylor was a beloved uncle to Oakley and Tatum Rocher, as well as twins he had yet to meet. Taylor is also survived by many extended great aunts, uncles, and cousins. Taylor was predeceased by his guardian angel sister, Bronwen Therriault, and his paternal grandfather, Stephen Therriault, as well as many extended relatives. Taylor was known for being a kind, genuine, compassionate person that would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Taylor’s love for his family and friends was immeasurable, and he was well known for having a heart of gold. He was a light for all those around him, and never let anyone feel alone, no matter the circumstance. Taylor touched the lives of everyone that knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of many. Calling hours for Taylor will be from 12pm-3pm on Friday, August 18th, 2023 at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington, Vermont.
