Tara A. Mckay-Colvin (Mckay)
February 14, 1961 — August 17, 2021
Born in Hartford, Connecticut on February 14, 1961, she was the daughter of William M. McKay and the late Patricia (Adams) McKay. She spent much of her life in Berkshire County before moving to Vermont.
Her greatest passion in life was spending time with her five grandchildren who affectionately called her Moldy: Axle, Alex, Abby, Lillie, and Charlie. She was a creative soul who enjoyed crafting stained glass and gardening. She loved sunshine and a good thunderstorm. Tara also loved hockey, Go Bruins!
She is predeceased by her husband, Henry Colvin, of Pittsfield, MA . Survivors include three daughters, Kristen (Bryan) Bonner of Salt Lake City, UT, Alyssa Teeple of Pownal and Michelle (David) Weber of Pownal; her grandchildren listed above; her father, Bill; and siblings: Tammy, Nate, Chris, Michaelyn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tara's memory may be made to an education fund to be established for her grandchildren c/o Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.
The family would like to invite friends and family to gather for a Celebration of Life honoring Tara. This will be held at the American Legion Post 90 in Pownal VT on Sunday August 22nd 2021 at 1:00pm.
