Tara Jennifer Cullinan, of Shaftsbury, passed away on November 30, 2023, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. The family is deeply saddened by this tremendous loss, she was only 41 years old. Tara was born on July 8, 1982; she has lived in the area most of her life and graduated from Arlington High School in 2000. Tara was a small business owner of EFX Cleaning Company in Shaftsbury for over 14 years. EFX was her life’s work; she built the thriving business from the ground up, pouring her heart and soul into it and her employees. In addition to owning EFX, Tara sponsored families in need, supplying meals and gifts for the holidays as well as helping to meet the needs of her employees and their families throughout the year. Everyone who knew Tara knew that family, friends, and pets came first. Tara was full of smiles, quick wit and positivity, traits that were obvious to all even after just a single meeting as her beautiful personality always shined through. She is survived by her husband, Jason Squiers, son Jordan Cullinan, Stepsons, Jayson, Ryan, and Matthew Squiers and her grandson, Ezra, all the loves of her life. She is also survived by her mother, Cheryl (Chuck) Wright; father, Robert (Bregt) Cullinan; her Aunt Pam, her cousin Chris, and his wife Emanuela; her sisters-in-law, Lynne Jones and Amy (Travis) Dorman; her brother-in-law, Wayne Squiers, her mother-in-law, Loretta Squiers (Robert Mayer) and an abundance of friends and business associates. Her beloved dogs, Tacoma and Pickles, were always at her side and her pet chickens were always at the door to greet her. We will miss her more than words can ever say.
