Tammy L. Fernandez (Gates)

Tammy L. Fernandez, 58, a resident of Hoyt Drive in Pownal, VT died unexpectedly Thursday December 28, 2017 at her residence.

She was born in Bennington, VT February 25, 1959. She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Anna (Morgan) Gates. Tammy received her education in Bennington and attended Mount Anthony Union High School.

For 25 years Tammy had been employed at the Paradise Motel in Bennington and for 5 years she worked at McDonalds in Manchester, VT

She enjoyed watching television, especially NCIS, shopping, bingo and playing the lottery. She was a member of the Bennington Eagles and a former member of the Moose.

Survivors include a sister, Irene Prouty, of Mount Dora, Florida; a brother, Christopher Gates, of Berlin, NY. Her friends and caregivers, Raymond and Gordon Campbell of Pownal, VT, a niece, several nephews, aunts, and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her husband Raymond Fernandez.

A memorial service will be held at the North Bennington Fire House at a time to announced.
