Sylvia A. Andrew

Sylvia A. Andrew, 71, a resident of Niles Road in Bennington, Vermont died Wednesday September 7, 2022 at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY following a brief illness.

She was born in Los Angeles, California April 20, 1951. She was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Eleanor (Hinchman) Durfee. Sylvia received her early education in Los Angeles and later graduated from Mount Anthony Union High School in 1969.

She married Donald Andrew on December 30, 1969.

Sylvia had been employed as a certified dietary manager at both the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center and the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation.

Sylvia enjoyed spending time in her extensive gardens and working on her yard and her house.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Andrew of Bennington, VT. A son, Morgan Andrew and his wife Marie of Bennington. Her beloved granddaughter, Alli Andrew of Bennington and a brother, Alan Durfee of Pownal, VT. Along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Sylvias request there will be no calling hours or funeral services. The family will be having a private service.
