Suzanne Johnson

Suzanne Johnson, 78, a resident of North Pownal, Vermont, passed away peacefully at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, Vermont on Saturday, April 13, 2024 following a brief illness. Born on January 5, 1946, in North Adams, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of the late Adrien and Marguarite (Couture) Fournier. Suzanne received her early education at Holy Family grammar school in North Adams, Massachusetts and later graduated from Saint Joseph’s High School. On November 14, 1964, she married Richard Johnson at Holy Family Catholic Church in Greylock, Massachusetts. Family was very important to Suzanne. So much so, that she was a stay at home mom to her three children. Sons William Johnson of North Pownal, Vermont. Gary Johnson of Bennington, Vermont. One daughter, Corine Milby of Clifton Park, New York. Suzanne loved to do oil painting, cross stitch sewing, and quilt making. Survivors include her husband of nearly 60 years, Richard Johnson, sons William and Gary Johnson and his wife Jennifer. Daughter, Corine Milby and husband Kyle, and granddaughter Amanda Milby. One living sister, Alice and her husband David Racitte of North Adams. David Johnson and wife Barbra of Bennington, Vermont. Sandra Bisson Krawzyck and her husband Jerry of North Pownal, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased relatives include Lorette Desermeux and her husband, David. Rita Guht and her husband, William Richard Fournier. Stella Boudin and her husband, Vincent. Cecelia Johnson and her husband, Ernest. At Suzanne‘s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services at this time.
