Susan Elizabeth Goss

Susan Elizabeth Goss, 73 of Pownal, Vermont, passed away peacefully at her home on November 27, 2022. Susan was born in Norwalk, CT on January 25, 1949, the daughter of Frank B. and Barbara (Wilbur) Tanner. She was educated in Hoosick Falls, NY schools and was a 1967 graduate of Hoosick Falls High School. She graduated from North Adams State College in 1981 with a Business Degree. Susan was a homemaker and also volunteered at the Green Mountain Chapter of A.R.C. and United Counseling Service. She enjoyed cooking and doing puzzles but especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Susan is survived by her children; Lisa M. Barney, of N. Adams, MA, Nelson A. Barney, Jr., of Bennington, VT, Lee J. Barney, of Lynn, MA and Stuart N. Goss, Jr. of Pownal, VT. She is also survived by her brothers; Frank B. Tanner, r of Queen Creek, AZ, Dale Tanner of Denver, CO, and Paul Tanner of Rutland, VT; her grandchildren; Sarah Barney Simmons, Matthew Barney, Katarina Barney, Crystal Barney, Heather Barney, Nelson Barney III, Alissa Barney, Lia Barney, Emily Barney, Brittany Goss and Kolby Goss and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Frank B. and Barbara Tanner and her brothers, Frank B. Tanner, Jr., and Matthew Tanner. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
