Susan Marie Cordeau, 72, passed away on January 28, 2025, after a long illness, in Bennington, Vermont.
Susan was born on April 22, 1952 to the late Joseph and Nora Cordeau (Vautour) in Lynn, Massachusetts. She was one of three children.
She grew up, in large part, in the Cocoa Beach, Fla. Area, where her father, Joseph, was part of the nation’s aerospace program.
After receiving her education, she primarily worked in medical billing for ambulance services in the Mass. North Shore area, and Bennington. Eventually, she would be re-united with her longest term partner, William Roberts. They spent twenty-two years of their life together before her passing.
Susan had many interests and hobbies. She was an avid scrapbooker, and was a fantastic cook when she put her mind and skills to work. Susan loved everything about the sea, and loved to swim and go to the beach. Her affinity to the outdoors expanded into spending time camping with her family, especially in the New Hampshire area.
Susan is survived by her partner, William Roberts, and children, Jay Roberts Cordeau, Khloe Roberts Cordeau, and her niece, Danielle Cordeau, and Danielle's son, Travis Cordeau. She is further survived by her nephew and nieces, John Vautour, Susan Vautour, and Michelle Vautour.
Susan is predeceased by her parents, and two siblings: Kenneth Cordeau, and John Vautour.
A time for visitation will be held on February 11, 2025 from 4:00-6:00pm at the Mahar Funeral Home in Bennington, Vermont.
