Susan Eileen Connor passed away October 07, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family and friends.

Susan was born in Delmar, New York, September 25, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Eileen Kearney Connor and Joseph Connor. Susan attended elementary school in Pittsford, VT, Graduated from Bennington Catholic High School. Susan attended Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Springfield, MA. Susan began her career at Putnam Memorial Hospital in 1965 and provided excellent nursing care and leadership for the following 25 years. She moved to Randolph VT in 1989 and worked at Central Vermont Hospital and the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center Emergency Room. Susan was a member of the Dartmouth Hitchcock Med Flight team. In 2005 Susan graduated from the University of North Dakota Physician's Assistant program. Susan began her PA career at The Health Center in Plainfield, VT. Susan was a past president of The Vermont chapter of Physician's Assistants. Susan returned to Bennington Vermont and worked at Neurological Consultants and United Counseling Service. She held a degree from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition was a nutritional and medical alternative consultant.

Susan was known for her passion for life, her adventurous spirit and quest for knowledge. She derived great pleasure from her many passions, which include: cultivating and canning assorted fruits and vegetables and she was an accomplished cook who loved to entertain. She was a talented designer and seamstress who made all of her daughter's prom gowns, an avid reader.

Even while battling cancer she enjoyed an extremely active lifestyle including finishing a road race two days post chemotherapy, kayaking, running and golfing.

Susan never ever gave up and encouraged everyone to live more, read more, and give more.

She is survived by her sister, Patricia Connor Gregory and her husband Thomas of Smyrna Georgia; her three daughters, Patricia Erin Casey, Megan Casey and Jenna Langlois and her husband Steven, all of Bennington Vermont and lifelong friend, Joanne Godkin; grandchildren Kayleigh Sigsbury and fiancé William Vidal Jr, Olivia Casey-Moore, Ethan Langlois and Emily Langlois and great Grandson Jackson Freeman. She is survived by nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by a sister, JoAnne Morrissey.

The funeral will be held from Sacred Heart Saint Francis de Sales Church on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 11:00 AM.

The burial will take place in the family lot at Saint Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery in Pittsford, VT.

At the request of Susan there will be no calling hours.
