ARLINGTON-
Steven Matthew Brown, 19, a resident of Arlington, VT, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 17th, 2022. He was born on February 11th, 2002 in Bennington, VT, to Stacy Whitney and Ralph Brown. He went through many surgeries and obstacles during his life, however he continued to keep fighting. As he grew up, Steven was able to enroll in school, and with the help of his nurse Missy and teacher Dana, he was able to receive his high school diploma, becoming a member of the Mount Anthony Union High School Class of 2021.
He loved to spend time outdoors, going for walks, camping and visiting the lake. Steven did not let his limitations get in the way of forming relationships with those around him. He had a special relationship with his caregivers dog, Kobe, and found great comfort in his company.
Steven is survived by his parents, Stacy and Ralph, and his six siblings; Kayla, Richard, Joey, Amber, Mackenzie and Bonnie. His caregiver, Candace Walsh, and her three children; Cameron, Carson and Madison, of Arlington, VT. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles; Lori (Mark) Russell, of Arlington, VT, Deborah (Dennis) Galusha, Bennington, VT, Sharon Reilly, of Salem, NY, Robin Brown, of Bennington, VT, Tracy Worley, of Bennington, VT and Ronnie (Carol) Worley, of Arizona. Steven is also survived by many cousins, including his close cousin, Becky (Chase) Schueler.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Mary Jane and Ronald Worley, an aunt, Mary Ruth Larabee and an uncle, Kevin Reilly.
The family of Steven would like to extend their appreciation to everyone that helped support him throughout the years. There were many different doctors and nurses that helped with his journey, and without them he never would have had the great life that he did.
A memorial service for Steven will be announced at a later date, at the convenience of the family.
