Sterling A. Foster, 62, a resident of BenMont Ave. in Bennington died Tuesday September 1, 2020 at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York following a brief illness.
He was born in Bennington, VT May 29, 1958. He was the son of the late Gordon Foster and Nancy (Rice) Bousquet who survives. Sterling received his education in Bennington and graduated from Mount Anthony Union High School.
Sterling was employed as a machinist at NSK in Bennington.
Sterling enjoyed his Friday night dinners with his friend, fishing and playing croquet with his brother Lance weekly.
Survivors include his children, Jerome Foster of Burlington, VT, Jeremy Foster and his wife Anna of Sunderland, VT, Stephen Foster, Dillon Foster and Amber Foster all of Bennington. A grandson Waylon Foster of Sunderland, His mother, Nancy Bousquet of Morehaven, Florida. Three sisters, Ramona Chase of Ludlow, VT, Heidi Tilley and her husband Mark of Bennington, Heather Patrie and her husband Russell W. Jr. of Troy, NY. Three brothers, James Foster of Manchester, VT, Lance G. Foster and his wife Tammy of Arlington, VT and Preston Foster and his wife Mary of Bennington, VT. Along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was pre-deceased by a brother John Foster.
Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Friday 11, 2020 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. when the family will be in attendance.
The graveside service will be at the family lot at Maple Hill Cemetery in Shaftsbury, VT on Saturday at 2pm.
