Stephen A. Langlois Sr., 68, a resident of Lincoln St. in Bennington died on Monday October 23, 2017 at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY following a brief illness.
He was born in Bennington, VT on May 8, 1949. He was the son of the late Archie and Lydia (LeBlanc) Langlois. He received his education in Bennington.
Mr. Langlois served in the United States Army.
He married the former Linda Benkoski.
Stephen was employed by the state of Vermont at the Armory in Bennington, VT. He later was employed in the maintenance department at the Bennington Post Office from which he retired.
Stephen enjoyed fabricating different projects in his garage and enjoyed anything to do with engines. His latest and greatest project was metal detecting.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Langlois of Bennington. Their children, Stephen A. Langlois of Bennington, Dana S. Langlois of Rutland, VT and Danielle Langlois of Bennington. Six grandchildren, Brody, Ethan, Keegan, Emily, Cassidy and Kailei. A brother, David Langlois and two sisters, Joyce Langlois and Jean Hurley. Along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by a brother Donald Langlois and two sisters, Doris Kalinowski and Jacqueline Lorette.
At the request of the family there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
