Stephen DiGiovanni, age 76, a resident of Weeks Street in Bennington, died on Saturday, February 20, 2021 following long illness.
He was born in Midland, Texas on November 28, 1944 and was the son of the late Joseph and Emma DiGiovanni. He married the former Rosemary McLoughlin in Staten Island, New York on August 23, 1970.
Stephen had been a teacher before moving to Bennington. After moving to Bennington he ran Maytag Homestyle Laundry in town for over 30 years.
He enjoyed gardening and spending quality time with his family.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons; Stephen Sean (Jamie Irene) DiGiovanni of Saratoga Springs, New York and Brendan Joseph (Calley Parks) of Altamont, New York.
He leaves one grandson; Daniel James of Saratoga Springs, one brother, Joseph DiGiovanni of Staten Island, New York and one nephew Jay DiGiovanni.
Stephen is predeceased by his brother James DiGiovanni.
At Stephen's request, there will not be any formal services. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
