Shawn Dana Robitille, 56, a resident of Bennington, Vermont passed away peacefully in his home on March 11th, 2024 following a long illness. Shawn was born in St. Albans, Vermont on September 18th, 1966. He was the son of Cynthia Reynolds and Dana Gordon Robitille. Shawn enjoyed playing his guitars and drawing. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time, and pulling pranks on his family and friends. Shawn had a gift of being able to make jokes of just about anything – this included some dark humor. Shawn worked as a cook for a large part of his life, most recently at the Northside Diner before his illness put him out of work. He had various other jobs in his younger years including farm work and plumbing. Shawn was a very talented home-musician, and really rocked on the guitar. Shawn is survived by his wife, Leona (Tifft) Robitille of Bennington; his sons: Shawn D. Robitille Jr., Cody Robitille, and Dallas Robitille; his daughters: Alexis LaFex, and Lola Robitille; his mother Cynthia (Reynolds) Lawson; many half-brothers and half-sisters; and his grandchildren: Taylor, Kaydince, Ayla, Sadi, Lelouch, Dryzztn, Samuel, Mila, and Mackenzie. Shawn is predeceased by his father, Dana Robitille, his stepfather Francis T. “Jake” Donor, and his uncles: Duffy Robitille, David Robitille, Gary Reynolds, Mark Reynolds, and others. A celebration of life will be held in Shawn’s honor on March 29th, 2024 from 1:00-6:00p.m. at 328 Safford Street in Bennington.
