Shawn M. Aiken, 41, a resident of Greenview Drive, Bennington, died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, July 19, 2017.

Shawn was born in Bennington on February 28, 1976, son of Brian and Florence (Green) Main. He received his education in the local schools and was a 1995 graduate of Mt. Anthony Union High School.

Shawn married the former Katie Campbell on March 17, 2004 in Jamaica.

For many years Shawn had been employed as a chef at Kevin's Restaurant in North Bennington.

An avid outdoorsman, Shawn especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and nature.

Survivors include his wife, Katie Aiken of Bennington; four children, Christina Campbell of Bennington, Keegan Aiken of Hoosick Falls, NY, and Kyler Aiken and Riley Aiken of Bennington; His parents, Brian and Florence Main of Bennington; his paternal grandmother, Phyllis Main of Bennington; three sisters, Tina Lewis and Tammy Woodard of Bennington and Amanda Main of Glens Falls, NY; his mother and father-in-law, Linda and Dale Campbell of North Bennington; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends are invited to pay respects to the family at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home on Friday, July 28, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions in memory of Shawn Aiken may be made to the Mahar & Son Funeral Home to help offset the cost expenses.
