Sharon L. Carrier

BENNINGTON

Sharon L. Carrier, 73, a resident of East Main Street, Bennington, died Saturday, July 17, 2021 at her residence following a long illness.

Born in Middlebury on July 31, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Eileen (Gates) Carrier. She received her early education in North Bennington and was a 1965 graduate of Bennington High School. Following high school she attended hairdressing school in Manchester, NH. She later was employed at various mills in Bennington and then at the Vermont Veterans Home for many years.

Sharon especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren along with crocheting and her dogs.

Survivors include her long-time partner, Betty Peterson of Bennington; a daughter, Terri-Lyn Moore of Pownal; two grandchildren, Tasha Marie and Jasmine May; a very close friend and care-giver, Joliene Bell of Bennington seven great-grandchildren and two aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Sharon was predeceased by a daughter, Tara Lyn, a sister, Dawn Marie Carrier and a brother, David A. Carrier.

The funeral will be held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.

Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

At Sharon's request private committal services will take place at the convenience of the family.
