Sharon Leigh Allaire
August 27, 1952 — January 15, 2024
Sharon Leigh Allaire (Cross) of Sunderland, VT passed away on January 15th, 2024 after a courageous battle with illness, surrounded by loved ones at the Center for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington, VT. She was 71.
The daughter of the late Bernard and Hazel Cross, Sharon spent most of her adult life as a nurse. She was also a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, aunt and Nana. Sharon loved spending time with family, cooking and baking, her cooking shows, and trips to the beach. She also loved to read, go fishing and spend time with her fur babies. She was a strong, hardworking, funny person who was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Sharon is survived by two sisters, Bernice Gaudette, of Bennington, VT, Mary McKeigan, of Bennington, VT and her brother, Anthony Cross, of South Carolina. Sharon is also survived by her husband, Ronald Allaire, of Sunderland. Her three sons; Rick Bolster and Lori Campbell, of Arlington, VT, Truman Eaton Jr. and his wife Beth Adams Eaton, of Mississippi, Christopher Eaton, of Sunderland, and daughter, Nicole Allaire and her husband, Chris Payne, of New Hampshire. One granddaughter, Emma Eaton, of Mississippi. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is predeceased by several brothers and sisters; Tommy, Harold, George, Raymond, Judy, Eddy, Claudia, Patrick and Diane.
A graveside service for Sharon will be held on Friday August 2, 2024 at 1:00 PM at St. Columban's Cemetery in Arlington, VT.
