Shane Cameron Cudworth

Shane Cameron Cudworth, husband, grandfather, father, brother, and friend died on Monday January 30, 2023 in Bennington, VT. He succumbed to Huntington's Disease after battling it for the past 17 years. Shane was born on March 14, 1974 to parents Donald Sr and Linda (Hoffman) Cudworth in Niantic, CT, living there and Coventry, Rhode Island until 1987 when he moved with his family to Lynchburg, Virginia. He graduated from Lynchburg Christian Academy in 1993, becoming an all conference and all state soccer and baseball player for the Bulldogs. He moved back to New England in 1995, meeting Heather Grover in 1999. They were married on January 7, 2004 in Brattleboro, VT. Together they settled in Brattleboro, bought a house and raised a family together. His love of family and fishing led to many minivan trips to the river. He had a loud, fun loving and wild spirit. He enjoyed playing softball and basketball in the Men’s Rec League and he was an avid collector of sports memorabilia. Especially anything to do with his beloved New York Yankees and San Francisco 49ers. He is survived by his wife Heather, sons Dillon and Wyatt of Brattleboro, VT, daughters Kayla of Swazey, NH and Ruby of Brattleboro, VT, A grandson Bentley Roy of Swazey, NH, brother Donald (Jay) Cudworth Jr, his wife Jessy (Doubleday) Cudworth, a nephew Iain and niece Ella of Brattleboro, VT. He was predeceased by his parents Donald Sr and Linda Cudworth of Lynchburg, VA. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday February 11, 2023 at 11am Community Bible Chapel 107 Atwood St. Brattleboro, VT 05301.
