Scott J. Flanigan

Scott was born in Bennington on February 4, 1960 and was the son of the late John Flanigan and Shirley (Knights) Flanigan who survives. He received his education in Bennington. He was employed at NSK for several years and then worked at Plasan as a technician from where he retired.
He married the former Katharine Kennedy in Bennington on April 9, 1994. Mrs. Flanigan survives. Scott was a former member of Stark Hose Fire Company in Bennington. He enjoyed fishing, watching DIY Network, and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Besides his wife and mother, Scott is survived by his children: Michael Flanigan of Bennington, Amy (Chad) Morse of Arlington, VT, and Eric (Brandy) Flanigan of Bennington. He leaves nine grandchildren: Austin, Tori, Jacob, and Carley Morse all of Arlington, and Lakela, Aubrey, Sierra, Kendra, and Brook Flanigan, all of Bennington. Scott has one sister, Marie (Dewey) Jones of Bennington, as well as one Aunt, Joyce Deeter of Texas, one nephew, David Jones, and one niece, Lisa Flanigan. Scott is predeceased by his father, John Flanigan, one brother, John Flanigan and one grandson, Scott B. Flanigan.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 23, at 11:00 AM at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street in Bennington. Interment will follow in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10AM until 11AM.
