Ruth Pauline Bentley, 92, a former resident of Windsor Locks, CT and Homestead Mews in North Bennington, VT and more recently of the Centers of Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington died Monday November 8, 2021 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington.
She was born in Sandgate, VT June 30, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Ross and Eva May (Munn) Bentley. Ruth received her education in Arlington and was a graduate of Arlington High School in 1948.
In earlier years Ruth and been employed at Tansitor Electronics in Bennington and for many years had been employed at Hamilton Standard in Windsor Locks, CT where she worked as a Quality Control Inspector.
Ruth enjoyed traveling, crafts, drawing and reading. She served on the board at the Assembly Church of God on Chapel Road in Bennington. She loved to sing and was a member of the church choir. She also loved children and taught Sunday School for many years.
Survivors include a sister and her husband, Marilyn and Jim Cymbalak of Wisconsin. Along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was pre-deceased by thirteen brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington on Saturday November 13, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The funeral will be held at the funeral home at Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
The burial will follow in the family lot at the Sandgate Cemetery in Sandgate, VT.
