BENNINGTON, VERMONT
Rosary Francis "Bud" Tetreault, age 80, of Leonard Street, in Bennington, died on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at his camp in Wells, VT. unexpectedly.
He was born in Bennington on July 6, 1940, and was the son of the late Richard and Marguerite (Gauthier) Tetreault. Rosary received his education in Bennington Schools. He served in the Army from October 1963 until April 1964, he then transferred to the Vermont National Guard. Bud married the former Sheila Cushman in Bennington on July 11, 1970. She survives. At the time of his retirement from St. Gobain in North Bennington, he was a Fabricator. He was a member of the Bennington Fire Department for several years.
He was a communicant of Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church in Bennington. He enjoyed splitting wood, camping, tending to his garden and spending time with his family.
Besides his wife of fifty years, he is survived by two children; Denise (Kennedy) Tetreault Saez of New Mexico, and Jeffrey Tetreault (Jennifer Lucero) of Albuquerque, NM. He leaves four grandchildren: Lydia Tetreault Saez, Isabella Tetreault Saez, Olivia Tetreault and Ethan Tetreault.
Rosary is survived by two sisters; Rosalie Green of Vermont and Jean Lyons of Indiana, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Death and Burial will be offered for the family on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 11:00AM at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church in Bennington. Family and friends will meet at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home at 9:30. A Prayer service will be held at 10:30 AM at the funeral Home.
